About Dr. Zayde

Dr. Zayde is a licensed clinical psychologist who received her doctorate from The George Washington University and completed her internship and postdoctoral training at the Yale University School of Medicine.  She is the Associate Director of Internship Training, the Director of the Mentalizing-Focused Parenting Program, and the co-Founder and co-Director of the Becoming an Emerging Adult at Montefiore (BEAM) program at Montefiore Medical Center. She is also an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Zayde is on the executive committee of the Emerging Adulthood Special Interest Group of Division 53 of the American Psychological Association. She sees a small number of patients privately and by appointment only. 

Dr. Zayde's areas of expertise include the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, mood disorders, trauma, problems with interpersonal/romantic relationships, and the transition to emerging adulthood (navigating college and early career development, independent living, creating healthy romantic and peer relationships).  Dr. Zayde feels strongly about the importance of parent support and guidance, and works with parents to better understand the emotions underlying their child's behavior.
